I eat sleep and dream my paintings. I am a self-taught artist that has a knack for painting in reverse ~:o) I paint on the under side of antique wood sash windows I first paint the highlights and my signature so it will be on top as I add layer after layer on to the window. I paint in reverse or backwards of the conventional style painting... It can be challenging and has to be well thought out for it to turn out... The colors are intensified the mistakes unforgiving and each cherished painting is a one of a kind original. My husband Archie just says we have more exterior windows inside our house than out side and we do ~:o) I have every wall filled and most of my relatives have at least a couple at each of their homes ~:o) I have painted quite a few commisions. My favorite is always the one that I am currently working on always! I like to think that I am also helping the enviroment by keeping the beautiful vintage windows out of the landfills so do your part and have me paint a picture for you too ~:o) The first American reverse paintings on glass were produced in the early 1800's and the oldest surviving examples are Roman dishes from the 3rd century.
