There are many things regarding our health that we can do to try and keep ourselves in tip top shape. It has come to light through research that stress and heart disease are connected. Stress and heart disease have always been known as silent killers. This is due to the fact that we never know when or where something related to our heart will occur.

Stress has always been seen as a part of everyone's life. This is true to a degree.  There is a certain amount of stress that each and every one of us have to go through at certain points in our lives.  Most people can cope with stress well. They have found ways that help them deal with the stressful situations that they encounter.

Stress is a factor in heart disease. It is unclear if it is the stress itself that is a risk or if it is the fact that high levels of stress cause other factors. There is some debate as to the long-term effects of stress, but most will agree that stress does play a role in our health.

Warning signs of stress are numerous and can be anything from severe headaches to extreme tiredness, there are many that can be a warning that something serious may be happening to your body. This is when a visit with your doctor is a good idea to make sure that nothing more serious is the problem. Many times this is the time that people find that they have heart disease, and that stress is the problem that brought it on.

The things that are known to commonly cause stress for us as humans are all things that relate to our daily life. The problems that occur in a family, with work, money issues; they all are very big causes of stress that many people are facing all the time.

Smoking, excess weight gain, high blood pressure, and many other things can be very bad in regards to your heart's health.  Unfortunately, these are also things that people who are experiencing prolonged, chronic stress tend to experience as well.

We can draw the conclusion that stress and heart disease are indeed linked. By taking steps to reduce stress in our lives, we stand a better chance of improving our health and enjoying a longer life. Stress may be a fact of daily living, but it need not be a permanent fixture in our lives.
